[tri-med] Re: 5 month old Trisomy 13 baby

I call my doctor about everything! But he has never worked with a t-13 baby.
So I try to give him ideas and he does research with that. I recently saw a
neurologist but she just gave him some med for infantile spasms and sent me on
my way. When he was first born they found a small amount of pulmonary
hypertension. So they thought that this might be intermittent pulmonary
hypertension, maybe it was just happening when he got mad and cried. My
husband is in the military and so we go to a military facility. Not saying
they don't know what they are doing but normally they don't take care of babys
with special needs. But they do want the experience and are more than willing
to listen to my input.
Thank you for the advice!

Nancy,

Our neurologist has described the possibility of seizures in infants being
as you described the scenario with you son. Our T18 daughter, Mari does
have pulmonary hypertension. But, we've not witnessed her doing anything
like what you've described. Have you tried your doctor? (I call whenever I
have even the slightest question---I don't care if they think I'm over
reacting.)
