So true!!! The latest Naked Calenders over here are coming from senior
citizens!!!!
But seriously I think I still have one of the old SOFT calendars scanned and
could send it to those who wanted to see what they were like.
Essentially there were 2 formats - a single sheet A4 size with a small year
calender in the centre and surrounded by pictures of our kids. The had one
for T-18, one for T-13, one for T-9 and one for all flavours. I think the
latter was called the many faces of Trisomy.
From memory they were $2 each on sale so probably $4 originally (I bought
mine at conference which was of course half way through the year)
The other one was a full 12 month calender month to a double fold page.
Calender was on the bottom and the kids pics were on the top. Cindy tried to
place each child on their birthday month. Often she had a small quote or
verse as well but that was more a space filler I think - the main focus was
the kids.
I met most of my first "triers" on that calender :-)) and it was soooo neat
then meeting them in person at conference. The only thing that I would have
liked was name and diagnosis, but that wasn't included. I now finally know
that the absolute stunner (blonde hair, blue eyes, Alice in Wonderland miss)
on those calenders is Brianna - Lauries daughter (T-9)
All we had to do was e-mail the picture to Cindy and she and Andy (a friend)
put the calenders together. It would be soooo much simpler these days
because this was back when software was nowhere near as good as it is these
days. I dont even think that they were professionally printed, just printed
off Cindy's home computer then spiral bound.
It was a fund raiser, but the other thing that they did was encourage people
to buy them and send them to their doctors and geneticists. Trisomy becomes
a little more personal when you have so many beautiful faces smiling at
you!! I still send regular pictures to Alex's doctors following on from that
principal - particularly those who told me I was wasting my time.

Oh I have mine all set - and boy do I have some doozies for blackmail
:-)))))
