KOIZUMI AND DEMOCRATIC PARTY SYMBOLS OF REFORM????

It is distressing how many people want to believe that
ultra conservative, war mongering Koizumi is a rerformer. Likewise the
Democratic Party. Though there are a few liberals 
in the Democratic Party, many are of like mind as Hatoyama, who supports
a Constitutional revision and seems not at all averse to sending SDF
forces abroad.  Of course the LDP is just a collection of factions
who are, like the DP, pro business, even if means at the expense of 
working people.  In Britain and Germany, even those who call themselves
liberal are just destroying social welfare and promoting privatisation.

Blair too is a war monger, and though he calls himself a progressive, he
is in bed with ultra neocon Bush.   Privatisation will kill Japan, just
as it has other countries with decent social infrastructures. We already
see the accidents on the JR, just as we see it on Britsih rail, both
provatised.


Meanwhile, big business will suppport the two party system because it
allows them to hedge their bets as they close factories in Japan, fire
workers and then, using cheap labor, make the absurd claim that Japanese
industry is becoming profitable again. 

And what is all this crap about two party systems being more democratic?
In the U.S. we call the Democrats and Republicans the WAR PARTY, or the
party of big business.   It's not different in Japan, no matter what
some people want to believe.
