I believe that after we have compiled moths for a couple years, TN will have over 2,500. KY does. Merrill, you need to take treks over into Johnson Co, TN and find some mountain moths for us. (In your spare time.LOL) Thank you, J N, for reporting from Marion Co. When we get a good cross-section of the state, our list will expand quickly. Our FOY total is now 90. For folks like myself who are just starting out, it is encouraging to know that time and patience will get you there. Would be interesting to know how many others out there have collections of moth photos and the number of photos in their collections. If the proposed Tennessee list of 1,400 is anywhere close to accurate, we all have a long way to go. Thanks to those who help us newcomers with photo id's. The moth world is so vast that just identifying each species is almost overwhelming. Thanks also to those who post their findings with name and Hodges #. I continue to add to our new state list as things come in. These are mostly from my home in Johnson City,TN (Washington County), with some from Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN (Sullivan County). Not every photo is identified to exact species.
