Yesterday I submitted 84 new county butterfly records to the BAMONA database; you might be looking for them to be posted within the next couple of weeks and check to be sure that all is as it should be. No one has submitted a record of Dainty Sulphur this year, and no one submitted one last year. Here are the dates and counties of all photo-documented records that I have processed for BAMONA: Cheatham County-10 Oct 07 Chester County--9 November 07 Dyer County-7 October 07 Humphreys County-31 July 04 Lauderdale County-8 October 07 Davidson and Shelby counties are the only other TN counties with records of this scarce, late-appearing sulphur. Good butterfly counting, Steve Note: still no 2009 records of Long-tailed Skipper in TN. Leonard's Skipper should be flying now or will be loon.
