The Red-spotted Purple egg that Nancy Garden (Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary) found about a week ago has hatched, and here is the first instar. The little guy or gal is only about 1/16 of an inch, hence the blur. It's chomping away on wild cherry still. Rita Venable
