[TN-Bird] winter

This weekend my yard, farm, woodlot were all claimed by Robins and Cedar
Waxwings. They have arrived by the thousands. There is a constant ruckus from
the Robins underscored by the whirring of the Waxwings as they move nervously
from spot to spot. This pair of invaders have even claimed the pan on my front
porch which usually contains sugar water for my honey bees. The recent heavy
rains have washed away the sugar water leaving a bird bath. The arrival of these
two species in such numbers has always signaled the heart of winter here in
southern middle Tennessee, not the coming spring. Never-the-less, a pleasant
time.
