[TN-Bird] white morph Great Blue Heron

Today, ~ 3 O'clock, 6-21-09, as we traveled toward
town on Hwy 27, Cynthia and I spotted a rather large 
white bird at Thomas farm.  We turned around and 
got the scope out and discovered that it was a white 
morph Great Blue Heron.  The bird ate several cray fish
during the few minutes we observed.  I suppose it has
gotten tired of eating fish over at the river.

On the way into Chattanooga, we stopped below the dam
to see if the bird that has been seen there was still there.
It was not... so, I assume that the bird had flown up to Thomas 
farm, although, it still could have been below the dam but out of 
sight on the back side of the rock pile.

Two hours later, when we again passed Thomas farm, I didn't
see the white morph.  We hope it's not gone but, this area might
be an alternate location to search if you don't have success
below the dam.

directions:  from the river while on Hwy 153, cross over the 
dam and go into Hixson.  Stay on Hwy 153 until you come to 
Hwy 27, turn right onto the on ramp (before going under bridge),
In three-fourth a mile or less start looking on the left side of the
road, water almosts divides the property at one point before you 
get to a small lake.  The bird was seen in the water where it divides 
the property.
