[TN-Bird] warblers at Tremont and other random sightings

Hi folks,

The first Black-throated Green Warbler of the year in Walker Valley
(Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blount County) was found on
Saturday the 22nd (same date as the Dan and Laurie had one) by one of
my co-workers (Dang, I wasn't here to greet it!)

Tuesday another co-worker (am I at my desk too much, or what!) had a
Yellow-throated Warbler.

Today the Black-throated Greens and Louisiana Waterthrushes are
calling from all over the place. The BTNWs especially seem to be
behind every tree, like they all came back at once and there is a big
party going on as they try to establish who has which territory.

STILL awaiting the first Black-and-white. And woe to the person here
who hears it before me - I'm getting jealous!

Anyone who thinks fall is the time to see colorful trees has to come
visit us right now. Mount Fodderstack is awash in innummerable
shades of red, green, white, yellow... And looks different every
time I step outside.

Tracey and I saw our first Tiger Swallowtails and Zebra Swallowtails
of the year on Sunday in Maryville. The former was also reported
that day at Tremont. On Monday I saw both in Culhowee, NC, and I
finally saw my first Barn Swallow of the year in Sevier County, TN as
I was travelling I-40.

Charlie
