[TN-Bird] various yard nesting updates

Our baby Red-tailed Hawk fledged within the last 10 days, and I haven't seen it
or the parents in the yard since.
I knew Brown Thrashers were nesting in the yard but wasn't sure exactly where,
until I saw one scooting out of a big Forsythia at the base of the driveway
about two weeks ago. A quick check revealed the nest, although it's angled
such that I can't very easily check on the status of the eggs/nestlings without
overly disturbing the nest.

Saturday, my wife told me that she moved a hanging flower pot and a Carolina
Wren flushed out of it. She assumed it was roosting there since it was late
afternoon. I told her that it was probably nesting, since they are famous for
nesting in flower pots. She said she looked and didn't see a nest, but we went
out and another quick check revealed a nest with 5-6 eggs buried deep at the
base of the plant. One egg was apparently lost in the move (it jostled out of
the nest into the soil and the parent didn't retrieve it), but (after we moved
the pot back to its previous location) the parents were back on duty shortly.

Lastly, yesterday I saw a recently fledged Eastern Towee following dad around
the yard. They are, to me, one of the stranger looking juvenile birds relative
to the appearance of the adults, although that's partly due to the fact that
they quickly molt out of this plumage, so we don't see it very often.
