Hi folks,

Back to work for a couple weeks, so my sightings are random luck...

Tremont
Walker Valley
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Blount County near Townsend

On Wednesday I found a Vesper Sparrow. Saw it again Thursday.
Didn't get a chance to look today.

On Thursday several of us saw an immature female Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker from the office.

Both birds were seen from my boss' office window. I guess I need a
promotion!

Our feeders are down indefinitely, thanks to the local Ursus
americanus. We pull them in at night (the feeders, not the bears)
but forgot one night last week... broken pole, mauled feeder.
Fortunately the bear hasn't been back, so I don't think we've created
a nuisance bear. We'll wait a couple weeks then start again - and do
a better job about bringing them in at night!
