[TN-Bird] species apparently in decline (BBS data)

TN-Birders:
The following is taken from
BirdLife International's Globally Threatened Bird Forums.
----------------------BEGIN FORWARD-------------------------

North American species apparently in decline according to Breeding Bird
Survey (BBS) data.

An anlysis of data from the Breeding Bird Survey has highlighted the
following species as giving cause for concern. Some occur further south than
the USA, and some may not be well covered by the BBS.

Figures represent declines calculated over 10 years or three generations.

Evening Grosbeak 52% (Occurs/breeds S to S Mexico)

Black-billed Cuckoo 52% (Possibly missed on BBS as main breeding is in mid
Canada)

Northern Bobwhite 45% (Occurs/breeds S to S Mexico)

Cassin's Finch 45%

Common Nighthawk 44% (Breeds S to Panama)

Red-headed Woodpecker 43%

Pinyon Jay 39%

Olive-sided Flycatcher 38%

Chestnut-collared Longspur 36% (Prairie species perhaps not well covered by BBS)

Yellow-billed Cuckoo 31% (Breeds S to Mexico and Greater Antilles).
