Carol and fellow hummer folk:
If all your feeders are the same type, try substituting the weaker or
stronger solutions to the suspected "good" locations. Sometimes I get the
distinct impressions that hummers like to feed at one feeder if there are a
lot of birds feeding there already. I would liken it to us driving through
town and deciding that the food must be good at a certain restaurant SINCE
ALL THOSE CARS ARE IN THE PARKING LOT!
I must confess that after 15 years of studying hummers I am pretty humbled by
my own feeling of ignorance. I am motivated by ignorance, but what we don't
know about hummers would fill a very large book!
Please share with us what you learn in your yard.
