The warm front across the state seems to have caused a
mini-fallout... at least in our yard in west Knoxville.
I spent a few more minutes at lunch and found some of the
same birds as this morning plus a good number of new ones
including yard bird #129. 12 warblers on the day which
ties my best warbler day in the yard over the 3 years we've
lived here. 19 warbler species in the yard so far this year.
Who knows what I've missed while at work.
Additional highlights to this morning's list (again all CAPS
are new for year in the yard, still 29 April 2005):
CAPE MAY WARBLER (1 singing male)
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER (yardbird #129 and 25th warbler
species for the yard, a singing male)
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler (at least 2-3)
BLACKPOLL WARBLER (2 singing males)
Worm-eating Warbler
PINE SISKIN (at least 8, bit of a surprise)
