Spent a bit of time birding in the yard before work this morning (west Knox Co, Tues 27 April). Whenever the rain showers died down, the birds would start calling then stop again when the rain picked back up. Several new arrivals were heard but not seen. Likely could have added more if the rain had cooperated a bit more. Eastern Wood-Pewee, FOY Great Crested Flycatcher, FOY in yard (had one at Sharp's Ridge Sun) Red-eyed Vireo "Myrtle" Yellow-rumped Warbler, 2-3 Blackburnian Warbler, FOY Prairie Warbler, FOY Black-and-White Warbler, FOY in yard FINALLY Hooded Warbler Rose-breasted Grosbeak Also had a brief look at a fly-over swallow that looked to have a breast band and could have been a yard-first Bank Swallow but just didn't get a satisfying look and it didn't call.
