Posting for Ed Schneider: Had a pretty exciting lifebird experience today. While driving home from my folks house in Portland, I spotted my first loggerhead shrike. He was 200 yds. north of Hwy.25 on Hwy 109N (east side of 109 N) He (or she of course) gave me the full shrike experience, snake on barbed wire and all! I even got a few OK flight shots. I'll be going back soon for sure! Will try to get a GPS location for whomever is interested.
