At last I have a migrant (and new yard bird) to report. A beautiful male
rose-breasted grosbeak at my tube feeder this morning. I watched him come
to it three times. The third time he was chased off by a male white
breasted nuthatch who perched on the feeder and spread his wings, something
I'd never seen one do before. I only occasionally see the nuthatch.
