Katherine Goodpasture set me up on a BBS in Wayne County,- took me around
the route the day before and marked each spot with spray tape or plastic
ribbon, stayed at our house overnight, and ran the route with me the next
day.
To get her odometer on a zero at the beginning of the route she backed up in
a circle for perhaps ten revolutions. This was before daylight, and lights
went on in several nearby farm houses.
I banded with her many times, and took students many times. She was a
wonderful friend and scientist.
