I observed my first migrants of spring today, three blue-gray gnatcatchers
and a parula, at Shelby Forest State Park in nw Shelby County. The warbler
and one of the gnatcatchers engaged in an aerial dogfight along the road to
the old nature center.
More gnatcatchers and parulas at Shelby Forest today, joined by a
season-first Kentucky warbler.
