I observed my first migrants of spring today, three blue-gray gnatcatchers
and a parula, at Shelby Forest State Park in nw Shelby County. The warbler
and one of the gnatcatchers engaged in an aerial dogfight along the road to
the old nature center. I guess it's the season for conflict.
