[tn-bird] Re: digital cameras

One of the biggest disadvantages I have found with my digital FD-95 is that
there is no way to set it up prefocused on , say, a feeder or roost and then
trip the shutter remotely. There is no provision for a cable release or in
my case, an air powered squeeze bulb release plus the camera will "time out"
and shut down after a short period of time to conserve battery power.

For a remote release project, I use my Olympus OM-1 cameras and telephoto
lenses with aid of tripod and the aforementioned squeeze bulb release. The
squeeze bulb has a 15 foot tube on it so I can fire the prefocused camera
from behind a blind or in cold weather, from inside the den. Don't get me
wrong, I like my Sony, but I ain't getting rid of my two 35mm Olympuses
either!

Oh, I just remembered, I forgot to put my name and address on the posting I
made about 15 minutes ago about coping with the dreaded digital camera
shutter delay problem. Sorry 'bout that, here 'tis.
