[tn-bird] Re: digital cameras

I echo all of Betty Garmon's comments on the Mavica (Sony)
CD1000, but I use it mainly for butterflies not birds,
though it has done a good job with some of them also. The
main drawback is the half-second delay between snapping
a shutter and the actual taking of the picture by the
camera; many birds move quite a bit in the half second
delay. [If anyone knows how to get around that problem,
please advise.)
