Henry Co. 29 June 2004 At my study sites on the Big Sandy Unit of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge (Henry County), we have documented Brown-headed Cowbird parasitism in the nests of the following species this spring: Acadian Flycatcher, Red-eyed Vireo, Scarlet Tanager, Summer Tanager, Wood Thrush, and Worm-eating Warbler. Interestingly, at these sites 2 years ago I found an active Northern Cardinal nest with 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoo eggs in it. The nest was depredated before the eggs hatched however.
