On Sat Dec 10th, we had at the bird waterer at one time, a male bluebird and a
cedar waxwing! The bluebird was unsual because we live in the woods and these
are only occasional in appearance around the deck area. (They do nest the first
nesting in the bluebird box...but once those leaves come, chickadees take it!)
The cedar waxwing has frequented our trees in the backyard often but never have
we seen one at the feeder/bird bath. It was of note that it was only one...we
saw only one cedar waxwing in two difefrent spots that day, which was peculiar.
SInce then, we have seen the usual flocks, as expected. This happened before
our nice rain this week and the birds obviously needed the water. I just now
have had a chance to post this message, thus it is a week late.
