Yesterday morning (5-19-08) I had a singing male Wilson's Warbler in the
yard. It's song was not what I'm used to, very burry-like. It seemed to like
to hang out with a flock of chickadees in the area where I had the
Connecticut earlier this month.
This morning I had a surprising 3 Acadian Flycatchers. First I heard the
singing male and tracked him down easily, and while watching him, suddenly 2
other Acadians (presumed females) appeared! There wasn't really any
fighting, the two other birds just actively fed while he sat and watched.
A few other highlights:
Kentucky Warbler - 1 -- singing throughout the morning, I'm hoping they'll
breed here this year
Hooded Warbler - 1 -- singing
Louisiana Waterthrush -- at least 1
Good Birding!
