The phalarope is still hanging around as of 8:30 this morning. It is very
cooperative and will allow you to get within 20-30 feet of it. We had several
individuals come by yesterday. All got good looks and some good photos' were
taken. Any one interested is welcome to come by. Here are the directions:
Take Hwy 129 to Lamar Alexander parkway. Turn left onto Lamar Alexander. Go to
5th traffic light and turn right onto Court St. Go approx. 3/4 mi. and bear
left onto Wilkinson Pike. Go 2 mi. and turn left onto Pleasant hill Rd. Go .2
mi. and turn right onto Stephens Rd. We are .3 miles on the left. Address is
2725 Stephens Rd. Park in gravel drive next to barn. Walk through gate (Please
close because horses may be out) and go to the left side of the riding ring.
The pond that has most of the water is where it has been. Should be on the
closest bank to the ring. It has been anywhere from there down about 100 feet.
Stacey and I will be in and out most of the day, but all are welcomed.
