March 28, Natchez Trace Parkway, Williamson Co. TN
.
Saw my first-of-season Blue-gray Gnatcatcher this afternoon along Burns
Branch, Natchez Trace Parkway. It was with a mixed flock containing
Golden-crowned Kinglets and a Brown Creeper. Also observed:
Louisiana Waterthrush (3) one perched above me in full song; FOS date here
was March 16
N.Rough-winged Swallows (2) my FOS
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Brown Thrasher
Chipping Sparrows (2) one singing
E. Meadowlark (2) singing
.
Chipping Sparrows arrived in my yard today. I only have them for about two
weeks in spring and about two weeks in the fall.
