March 28, Natchez Trace Parkway, Williamson Co. TN . Saw my first-of-season Blue-gray Gnatcatcher this afternoon along Burns Branch, Natchez Trace Parkway. It was with a mixed flock containing Golden-crowned Kinglets and a Brown Creeper. Also observed: Louisiana Waterthrush (3) one perched above me in full song; FOS date here was March 16 N.Rough-winged Swallows (2) my FOS Ruby-crowned Kinglet Brown Thrasher Chipping Sparrows (2) one singing E. Meadowlark (2) singing . Chipping Sparrows arrived in my yard today. I only have them for about two weeks in spring and about two weeks in the fall. .
