[TN-Bird] White-winged Scoters at Pickwick-Bruton Branch

Pickwick Dam
Bruton Branch Recreational Area
Hardin County
I stopped by Bruton Branch Recreational Area and Pickwick Dam earlier today.?
At the dam, Ring-billed Gulls ruled with at least 1000 present.? There were
also about 25 Herrings present, but I saw none that looked unusual or
intriguing.? Present at Bruton Branch Recreational Area were 6 Common Loons in
breeding plumage (some near to shore), several coots, 6 Mallard (may be
domestic stock) and three female plumaged White-winged Scoters.? I tried to get
some photos of the scoters, but as soon as I got the scope set up, the rains
began to fall in sheets.? This is my 250th species in Hardin County.
