Here in the Charlotte Park section of West Nashville (Davidson County) just a few blocks east of the Cleece's Ferry Boat Ramp at the Cumberland River, I've had two early(?) white throated sparrows feeding just outside my French doors on the deck. After chasing all the mournies away, a stray Eurasian collared dove is feeding right this minute, but it just started acting a little "spooked." Had one ruby throated hummingbird in the early AM today but have seen no more since I returned home from a meeting around 2:30 PM. Whoops! The Eurasian just left along with everything else that was hiding in the grape vines foraging on the last of the grapes. A neighbor's massive white tom cat must have shown up as he often does. He is welcome to all the mice that come to feed, but he needs to leave my birds alone!
