You are right about the saucer type of feeder. This is the type feeder I
use, and I don't have an issue with yellow jackets, plus it is a breeze to
clean. I was merely suggesting the use of the deterrents for those who have
the
plastic or narrow glass bottle type of feeders. For those feeders also that
don't have a perch, I can't see how they would get the petroleum based
products
on their feathers.
