I went by W.Greene High School about 6:40 pm yesterday, and found the Eurasian Collared Dove once again.  I did notice that the bird flew from the power line to a clump of Kud-zu over the railroad track.  (possible nesting location? or maybe a roosting spot)  As time allows, I hope to check this out further.  There were still 3 singing Dicksissels present at the WMA refuge on S.mohawk road, but I still have not found a Willow flycatcher, or Shrike in these Lick Creek bottom locations this year.  I also had my first Dicksissel in Hamblen Co. along Carrol Road just north of Fish Hatchery Road.

Finallly, I just returned from Fla, (Tampa Bay Area) on a church trip, but did find a little birding time.  Highlights, included:  Swallow-tailed Kite, Short-tailed Hawk, 5 dove species, Oyster-catcher, R.spoonbill, White Ibis, and Monk parakeets.  I was disappointed that I didn't get to the Mangroves to for those specialties.

A birding we will go,
