[TN-Bird] West Tn birder south of the border

For those west Tennessee birders who stray just south of our border into
Tate and Desoto cty's in MS.
Sat, 26 Aug.

Was down to visit with friends near Senatobia today did some birding prior
to visit.

1155am-1245pm: I stopped just south of the Coldwater Rvr Bridge on I-55 SB
and checked the wetlands to the west. 9-Grt Egrets, But the highlight was as
I was scanning and counting 3- Immature White Ibis flew by right in front
of me. Perfect view to id (telltale white rump as they flew by to the north
side of the wetlands and out of range.

I crossed over I-55 to the NB lanes and checked out the East side wetlands.
58-Grt Egrets, 3-Snowy Egrets, 2-Grn Heron, 2-Grt Bl Heron, 14-Wood Ducks,
and 5-DC Cormorants.

When I got off at the Senatobia exit I glanced left to the wetland next to
the NB ramp and it was full of white birds at least a couple hundred, but I
was headed elsewhere and couldn't go back.

On my way home 630-715pm I stopped there, a lot less birds but enough to
do a good scan for 45 minutes. 72-Grt Egrets, 7 Snowy Egrets, 2-Grt Bl
Heron, 1-Grn Heron, 7-Wood Ducks, 1- Coopers Hawk, and out of the mess of
white one lone Wood Stork (ugly face and all). A couple of picts also.
