Carolyn Bullock received a call from a man in Cordova, TN about three
strange birds that were coming to his feeder.
We went to see them and, of course, they didn't show up. Today he
emailed us some pictures and with the help of The Handbook of the Birds
of the World, (I know all those volumes would come in handy some day),
they turned out to be Yellow-collared Lovebirds (Agapornis personatus)
from Tanzania. So if anyone is missing some very handsome lovebirds,
please let us know. Could they have possibly escaped during the
hurricane?
