[TN-Bird] Turkey Creek and a Waterthrush

This past Sunday morning, a handful of KTOSers went birding around the
TurkeyCreek wetland in west Knoxville. Among the usual suspects, we observed
some tree swallows, green-winged teal, canada geese, swamp sparrow,
yellow-rumped warblers, a red-shouldered hawk building a nest, and a
beautiful paited turtle sunning next to the Blue Spring. It was a chilly,
but nice morning.

Earlier this evening, while surveying trash for an upcoming clean up along
First Creek, right at Broadway Greenway Park, directly under Broadway, I
spied a waterthrush foraging just inside the tunnel. I knew what it was
immediatly, with it's markings and waging tail, but can't say 100% if it was
the Louisiana or the Northern. From what I could tell (I didn't have my
binocs with me), I'm leaning towards the Northern, because it's underparts
were all white and the eyebrow looked even throughout. I can't be sure
though. The water is riffley and fast in this area. It was a waterthrush, I
can be certain of that!

Good spring birding!
