Around 11:30 - 12 p.m. this morning in a very light drizzle I had a Northern
Shoveler pair (male, female) in the water behind Earth Fare. Lots of water
and lots of ducks, mostly Mallards, Gadwall and a few Wood Ducks. Around
1:15, sitting in my car in the Baptist Hospital Parking lot, I looked down
on the wetland (which is really wet now) and saw 13 Mallards and a Pied
Billed Grebe. Then the rain really started coming down and I left.
This is at the Turkey Creek wetlands off Lovell Road in west Knox County,
Tennessee.
