Jan. 23, 2009 TVA and Robco Lakes Shelby Co. TN Got away a little early today and spent a few hours scanning ducks. The scaup were falling in to TVA Lake in droves. No scoters could be found but first a female Long-tail and then a male showed up. Lots of scaup with 19 White Pelicans at Robco Lake and there among the concentration I found another female Long-tailed Duck. Looks like this is the year of the "Old Squaw". Good Birding !!! Jeff R.
