With birds moving in and out of McKellar Lake, short trips reveal great  
count differences.........
Shovelers are spending their time across the road at the pits.
 
Nov. 20: 11 Gadwall, 3 Hooded Mergansers, 5 Green-winged Teal, 47  
Ring-necked Ducks, 172 Lesser Scaup, 24 Greater Scaup, 4 Redheads, 7 
Pied-billed  Grebe 
- 34 Ring-billed Gulls, 1 immature Herring
 
Nov. 21: 9 Gadwall, 7 Hooded Mergansers, 2 Green-winged Teal, 94  Ring-necked 
Ducks, 123 lesser Scaup, 32 Greater Scaup, 11 Pied-billed Grebes -  54 
Ring-billed Gulls, 1 adult and 1 immature Herring.
