[TN-Bird] TOS Archives and Collections

In 1970 I delivered a Swainson's Warbler tower kill from Savannah, (Hardin Co)
TN to Albert Ganier, the TOS Curator at the time. Mr. Ganier told me that his
will provided for the TOS collection to go to the University of Louisiana at
his death. Although he was well into retirement at the time, he may have
continued as curator quite a few more years after 1970. I suggest contacting
the University. The collection may be identified as Mr. Ganier's personal
collection, but it was the TOS collection, or at least included TOS artifacts.
As I recollect it filled a small room and had some nice items.

In a related vein, I wonder if anyone knows what may have happened to Amelia
Laskey's bird records. She had a large room in her home fitted with stacks
like a library, with hundreds of 3-ring binders of her notes, very well
organized. This was of course a private library, but I hope it is preserved
and available somewhere.
