David and TnBirders,
Chuck-will's-widow and Whip-poor-will can be found together east of
Nashville in Wilson County. Cedar Forest Rd. is a gravel road opposite Cedars
of
Lebanon State Park and they are both usually found there.
Cheatham WMA has Whip-poor-wills and possibly Chucks also on gravel roads.
Wiley Pardue Rd is now paved but Whips could be heard from there. Gravel
portions of Griffintown Rd. would have them and "Headquarters" Rd. down the
center of the management area is all gravel and is a good area to check.
