[TN-Bird] TN River cruise

From my cruise on the TN River on Saturday in the area of Hiwassee Wildlife  
Refuge near Dayton, TN from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm February 21 in the company  of 
Rick Houlk and Ken Dubke.  
 
1 red-tailed hawk
7 bald eagles (5 immature, 2 mature on the nest)
8 black vultures
3 turkey vultures
5 American coots
500 sandhill cranes in flight
1500 ring-billed gulls
2 belted kingfishers
7 tree swallows feeding over the water!
6 American crows
30 double-breasted cormorants, inclusive of 2 delayed immatures
12 great blue herons, some in flight, some on their nests
 
Earlier, 7:45 am, crossing the TN River bridge on Hwy 30 between  Dacatur and 
Dayton
 
1000 sandhill cranes leaving the roost
