Hannah Baker and I spent the morning birding along the southeast side of 
Watauga Lake (Fish Springs, Roan Creek, etc).

Highlights:

At Shook Branch Recreation Area (Carter Co.):
Lesser Scaup - 7
SURF SCOTER - 2
Bufflehead - 3
Ruddy Duck - 8
American Coot - 25
Common Raven - 1

At Watauga Point (Carter Co.):
American Coot - 45

At Roan Creek (Johnson Co.):
Bald Eagle - 1ad.
