Last year, I posted about a super Harrier that took a Ring-billed Gull in
flight down in Tunica Co, MS. Today, I received an e-mail from John Laux, an
M.S. Candidate at the
University of Tennessee, Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries
working on a research project in east TN. He watched and photographed a
Cooper's
Hawk, take down a Ring-billed Gull from a feeding flock and drag it from the
water to the river bank.
I've put a web site with photos of these two super raptors with their prey,
if you are into raptor super achievers!
