Looks like the strong showing of Middle TN Black-bellied Whistling Ducks is
continuing: after receiving an ebird report (with photos) of a bird initially
found on May 31st (but not reported until today) at Memorial Park in
Hendersonville, I went by on my lunch break today to look for it. I was able
to re-find it pretty quickly along the shore just to the right after crossing
the pedestrian bridge. It was acting very relaxed and mingling with the
resident Mallards and Canada Geese. This is the first Sumner County record (at
least as far as ebird goes).
