While waiting in a parking lot yesterday at noon, I saw a speck in the sky
and went to the truck for my field glasses. I relocated that spot and a
string of others. They were migrating Turkey Vultures extremely high and were
followed by two Red-tailed Hawks bee-lining for the next thermal. I counted
21 TV's in line and no telling how many passed before I noticed them.
While scanning around for other movement, I came across dozens of Chimney
Swifts doing their dipping and diving. It seemed I could not scan anywhere
that they were not present, but none were visible to the naked eye. My first
for the season and most welcomed they were!
Good Birding!!!
