[TN-Bird] Standifer Gap Marsh

Standifer Gap Marsh, Chattanooga, Hamilton Co, TN
May 22, 2003

Pied-billed Grebe
LEAST BITTERN
Northern Bobwhite
Virginia Rail, 6, singing continually
Sora, NONE, perhaps the water is too deep; the last ones I saw were on the
lawn-like grass
Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
American Redstart
Sparrows: NONE except one Song Sparrow (I have never seen nor heard of a House
Sparrow there.)

RUFF: Someone asked about the possibility of RUFFs at the marsh. There are
usually a few N. RUFF-winged Swallows among the Barn and Tree Swallows,
sometimes a Purple Martin or two, Cliff Swallows very seldom.
