[TN-Bird] Squirrel proof feeders

I hope I am not violating any rules in asking if anyone has any experience with
the type of squirrel proof feeders that twirl around and cause the squirrel to
be tossed off or jump off the feeder. Do they work? Are the squirrels truly
unharmed, long term? Are the birds comfortable eating from them? Any problems
from possums or racoons? I am thinking about giving a few of the ones by a
Canadian company ( they cost about half the price of the New England
manufacturer) as Christmas presents, so I would appreciate the benefit of your
experience.
Thanks,
Alice Woody
