Roger Applegate with TWRA was doing surveys on field borders Tuesday and found
3 Sora in eastern McNairy County. He heard 3 and flushed one of the birds,
providing a good look. The site was a farm with a grassy border on all sides
with several overgrown streams. Evidently the site was moist enough for the
Sora's.
Roger and I are interested in finding out more about Sora distribution in TN.
The Atlas has one record from Memphis.
Thanks,
Scott
