Houston Lane, Ooltewah, Hamilton County
January 25, 2009, 9:30 AM
A flock of 12-15 Canada Geese flew over low and fast, going south, apparently
flying between ponds along Ooltewah-Ringold Road.
In front and slightly to one side was a smaller goose with much more white than
the others. It most closely resembled the illustration of White Juvenile Snow
Goose in Sibley's Eastern Guide, but the obvious smaller size might indicate
Ross's Goose.
No questions about the "grin patch".
