Checklist Comments: After work run down to the Pits on a hot sunny July
afternoon. 91 degs and humid, slight breeze. Met up with David Hilgeman where
we observed a Whimbrel on the first big open pit next to the covered pits.
Most every shorebird seen today was in this area sans the Black-neck Stilts
and Killdeer who were scattered through the complex. Davids post shows great
picts of the bird we documented, (mine were too far away 200 yards w/300mm
lens).
