Sightings Report 21 & 22 Dec'06 Collierville area, Shelby County Tn
Location: TN 1 Cvll, Peterson Lake Nature Center
Observation date: 12/21/06, 240-330pm, 2.3 miles walk & Drive,
Notes: Short walk on the old existing boardwalk. (New boardwalk looks
weeks away since all the wet weather has turned the bottoms back into a
swamp). Then took a drive around the surrounding subdivisions to see what
was about in the ponds. Overcast light drizzle at times cool,lo 50's. One of
the ducks seen was a Leucistic Mallard Hen.

Location: TN 1 Cvll, Nonconnah Greenbelt Trail
Observation date: 12/22/06, 3-4pm, 2 mile hike,
Notes: My wife Sharon and i hiked the new Greenbelt trail from
Schilling Middle sch to Houston Levee Rd. Nice trail good Habitat, Nonconnah
Creek on the south side of trail, several trib crossings good mix of brush
cover, fields,and woodland areas and one sm pond. Will revisit at an earlier
time (we had the sun in our face the first half of trip). Weather clear 60's
a bit breezy as the sun started to set.
